This list is made of my own personal best games, and I make no claim to have played all games out there (not even close).\u00a0 I also have a bias for short, high-strategy games &#8212; so keep that in mind.<\/p>\n<p>Games that did <em>NOT<\/em> make my list: Chess, Go, Stratego, Monopoly, Scrabble, Risk, Catan, Battleship, Candyland&#8230; these are games that have stood the test of time &#8212; some of them are even good &#8212; but not one of them is in my top ten (or even 20) games of all time.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements for this list: FUN, SIMPLE, ENGAGING, HIGH REPLAYABILITY, STRATEGY IS REQUIRED, and TIME TO PLAY IS 10 MIN-1 HR<\/p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>My Top 10 Boardgames of All-Time<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/boardgamegeek.com\/boardgame\/5\/acquire\">Acquire<\/a> (Everything Monopoly should have been)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/boardgamegeek.com\/boardgame\/143741\/bang-dice-game\">Bang! the Dice Game<\/a> (Take-That\/Party game)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/boardgamegeek.com\/boardgame\/521\/crokinole\">Crokinole<\/a> (Only dexterity game on the list, finger flicking fun)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/boardgamegeek.com\/boardgame\/154597\/hive-pocket\">Hive<\/a> (Think Chess, but without a board)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/boardgamegeek.com\/boardgame\/191862\/imhotep\">Imhotep<\/a> (Every decision is important)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/boardgamegeek.com\/boardgame\/30549\/pandemic\">Pandemic<\/a> (Still the best cooperative game out there)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/boardgamegeek.com\/boardgame\/143519\/quantum\">Quantum<\/a> (Unique combination of luck mixed with abstract strategy)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/boardgamegeek.com\/boardgame\/194655\/santorini\">Santorini<\/a> (Just an amazingly simple and fun game with unlimited &#8220;god&#8221; combos)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/boardgamegeek.com\/boardgame\/148228\/splendor\">Splendor<\/a> (Always a new game, luck, lots of options, decisions are important)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/boardgamegeek.com\/boardgame\/31999\/tzaar\">Tzaar<\/a> (Always a new game, another abstract game that&#8217;s better than chess)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>***Be sure to click links to go to Board Game Geek website to read more about them.<\/p>\n<p>OK, so that was really tough&#8230;<\/p>\n<h2>Here&#8217;s my top 11-20 games<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Age of War<\/li>\n<li>Good Cop Bad Cop<\/li>\n<li>Love Letter<\/li>\n<li>Onitama<\/li>\n<li>Patchwork<\/li>\n<li>Quarto<\/li>\n<li>Smallworld<\/li>\n<li>Star Realms<\/li>\n<li>Unearth<\/li>\n<li>Yinsh<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I hope that helps you identify some great new games you haven&#8217;t played.
