It arrives in a few days and after the initial tests, we&#8217;ll attempt to print the prototype pieces for <a href=\"http:\/\/oakheartgames.com\/boardgames\/bolster\/\">Bolster<\/a>\u00a0(our first game ready for prototyping). We also created plans for a modular game board that is expandable\/contractible &#8212; this will allow playing games on a board ranging from 4&#215;4 to an 8&#215;8 grid. It is also ready for a test print on the printer. \u00a0If you&#8217;ve seen the exciting new game <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/cheapassgames\/tak-a-beautiful-game\" target=\"_blank\">Tak,\u00a0<\/a>by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.patrickrothfuss.com\/content\/index.asp\" target=\"_blank\">Patrick Rothfus<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/cheapass.com\" target=\"_blank\">Cheap Ass Games<\/a>, our single board will be a perfectly expandable to play all variant board options from 4&#215;4 up to 8&#215;8.<\/p>\n<p>As it turns out, the expandable board (which we will test print in the coming weeks) is\u00a0perfect for our set of abstract strategy games as well &#8212; go figure. \u00a0Each game in the Oakheart BEAST Project\u00a0(<strong>B<\/strong>olster8, <strong>E<\/strong>quip7, <strong>A<\/strong>rmor6, <strong>S<\/strong>nipe5 &amp;\u00a0<strong>T<\/strong>hief4) is\u00a0played on its\u00a0own board between 8&#215;8 and 4&#215;4 tiles.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m excited to announce that we just invested in a new dual head 3D printer!
